About Us

We are a small family business in California. Alysia is in a book club and is a fantastic cook, and even better Mom and Wife. She organizes everything and is a great communicator, which makes everything run smooth. Hayden loves spending time with his family, picking up going through books, and supporting his family. When he has time, he loves playing pickleball. Baylee is the cutest daughter ever and is a natural entertainer – a true joy to be around who makes everyone smile and laugh.As a hobby, I enjoyed buying and reselling things, and I stumbled on used books. Books are fascinating and people really like holding on to them. So I started to sell some and then the pandemic hit. I realized people were having a hard time donating, and some of their books were really starting to pile up. Once I set up this website people really loved the idea, and we are able to donate efficiently through our partners and local resources. So that’s about it. We hope you continue to support us and the surrounding communities. Thank You!

Q: What do you do with all these books?
A: We sell about 10% of books we receive online. We also love to donate, especially children’s books to schools and day cares. If you are interested in receiving books, please contact us here. We also recycle books, especially those that are obsolete or in poor condition.Q: What do you not accept?
A: Foreign Books – Please only English books and media. Please no dictionaries or encyclopedias. No books that are damaged or unreadable. No VHS tapes and various blank media. We do accept kids books, but only limited since we have too many most the time (consider schools directly, they really appreciate them,)Q: Where do you pick up? How many books can I donate?
A: We pick up in the general Orange County area in California. Let us know what you have and we will try to accommodate.Q: Can I drop off books?
A: Yes. We work from home in Garden Grove if that is convenient for you. Just give us a heads up and text 714-235-2773Q: Can you provide me with a receipt?
A: No. We are not setup as a registered non-profit so we are unable to provide tax deduction receipts.Q: Why should I donate to book-donations.com?
